Hi! I’m Justine, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a strong believer in the power of food to fuel a vibrant life. Food is intricately woven into so much of our experience, influencing physical, mental, emotional, social and cultural facets of our lives. As a teenager exposed to a multitude of fad diets, I was confused about what the “right” way to eat looked like. I yearned for clarity on how to navigate my food choices so that they would be supportive of living my best life. That desire led me to study nutrition at SUNY Oneonta, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. I became fascinated with how the body works; discovering how intelligent the mind and body are to intuitively access and utilize nutrients, allowing us to perform our day-to-day tasks. Experiencing so much success from my education and research, my new life mission is to now help others find clarity and quality of life through food.

After my undergraduate studies, I took a summer to explore another passion of mine - yoga. I trained at a local studio to become a licensed yoga teacher in 2016. The lessons I learned of yoga philosophy augmented my knowledge of food by bringing gratitude and mindfulness into my eating habits. I cultivated an intuitive eating mindset, becoming more attuned to how food made me feel. This further enhances my love for cooking and satisfaction in nourishing my body and mind.

My journey deeper into the field of nutrition led me to complete a 1,200-hour dietetic internship in Connecticut. After achieving my RDN credential, I launched my career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Englewood Hospital. There, I practiced medical nutrition therapy to prevent and treat many conditions with diet. I guided my clients in using nutrition to improve conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, digestive disorders and help cancer patients live more easily through adaptive diet plans specific to their needs. Nutrition is a dynamic and evolving field that has me enthusiastic about being a lifelong learner. I’m fortunate to be resuming my education in a nutrition graduate program that takes an integrative and functional approach. Viewing nutrition through this lens opens up a new avenue for addressing the root cause of illness to not just prevent disease but to truly optimize health.

My ambition is to translate this nutrition research into sustainable daily habits that have profound results in health and wellness. My background has encouraged me to take a holistic, mind-body approach integrated with up-to-date nutrition science. I’m honored to be able to guide clients to be confident in their food choices, and to embody their most thriving, energetic self.
