Hi! I'm so glad you're here! I’m Chandler, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) passionate about making nutritious food delicious, fun & approachable.

From a young age, nutrition has played a significant role in my life. Growing up as an athlete and runner, I learned proper nutrition was vital to feeling my absolute best both on and off the field. In contrast, I struggled with an eating disorder at that very same time in my young adolescent life. This roller coaster of health and a constantly changing relationship with food led me to where I am today. My recovery was the foundation to my passion for dietetics and the decision I made to help those who face their own health challenges.

Since becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I truly discovered the healing and nurturing power of food. After completing my undergraduate studies in Nutritional Sciences at Penn State University, I went on to complete my accredited dietetic internship at The University of Maryland. Shortly afterwards, I pursued another passion of mine- traveling! I spent several months backpacking throughout Southeast Asia, where I witnessed fascinating new cultures and culinary traditions. Through the local cooking classes, market tours, and traditional foods, I discovered that there is no better way to understand a culture than through its food!

Since then, my career took me to sunny San Diego. There I worked in a variety of settings including private practice, clinical nutrition, genetics, holistic nutrition, menu development, and personalized health coaching. I launched a new menu and dietary program for the largest pediatric hospital in California. I also served as the lead dietitian for a genetics company, specializing in sustainable weight management and nutrigenomics (the interaction between genes and the diet!). My background includes extensive nutrition counseling experience. I have helped hundreds of clients achieve their health goals, develop a healthier relationship with food, and manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases, obesity, and heart disease. Recently, I moved back to my home state of New Jersey to start my own private practice Chandler Ray, RDN LLC.

With nutrition, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, I look at the whole picture and take a personalized approach to help you optimize your health and ultimately live a balanced lifestyle. My goal is to understand your unique needs and give you the tools you need to feel your best and successfully achieve your goals. Being mindful of what your body needs, understanding where ingredients come from, and learning how to confidently cook in the kitchen are just a few of the topics I teach through my practice.

I’m so excited to have you here!
