Hi there! I’m Abigail Porch, a Registered Dietitian based in New Jersey with a deep passion for harnessing the power of nutrition to elevate your health and enhance your life.
My journey into nutrition is deeply personal. As a multi-sport athlete and runner, I faced my own challenges with food and exercise, which led to an unhealthy relationship with both. Over time, through self-compassion and mindful eating practices, I transformed my approach to food, learning to embrace it as a source of nourishment rather than stress. This experience ignited my drive to help others view food in the same manner.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Food Science and a Master’s in Dietetics from Montclair State University, with practical training from my Dietetic Internship at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa. My education and hands-on experience have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support a diverse range of clients.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a certified personal trainer and enthusiastic runner. I’ve completed three half marathons and am currently preparing for the 2024 NYC Marathon. My love for fitness extends to the kitchen, where I enjoy creating nutrient-dense versions of my favorite baked goods. In 2018, I was honored to be named “America’s Top High School Pastry Chef” by The Culinary Institute of New York - Monroe College.
Whether you’re a young athlete, managing a chronic condition, or simply striving for better health, I’m here to guide you on your path. My personal experiences and professional background enable me to offer tailored support that aligns with your unique needs and goals. Drawing on my clinical research into the relationship between gut health and hormones, I also specialize in helping women navigate hormonal imbalances and menopause, providing evidence-based strategies to support their well-being during these pivotal transitions.
I’m thrilled to help you unlock your potential and achieve your health aspirations!
