We originally posted this recipe for Super Bowl Sunday but you can really bring this as an appetizer for any occasion!
Layers of creamy and fresh ingredients are spread into a pan and chilled to serve. High in fiber, protein-rich, and packed with colorful veggies. You can easily swap these out for your own favorite toppings.
Crispy tortilla chips are the perfect dipper for this recipe!
7-Layer Taco Dip
Prep Time: 15 minutes Chill Time: 30-45 minutes
Ingredients:
2 Cups of refried pinto beans
1.5 cups plain greek yogurt
3 tsp of taco seasoning
1 cup of guacamole
1 cup of salsa
1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
1 head of romaine lettuce
1/3 cup of fresh cilantro
1/4 cup of sliced black olives
1/2 cup of cheese
Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions:
Layer 1: pinto refried beans~ 2 cups
Layer 2: plain greek yogurt mixed with taco seasoning~ 1.5 cups yogurt + 3 tsp seasoning
Layer 3: guacamole~ 1 cup
Layer 4: salsa~ 1 cup
Layer 5: veggies romaine lettuce, finely chopped~ 1 head sliced cherry tomatoes~ 1/2 cup
Layer 6: toppings of choice chopped fresh cilantro~ 1/3 cup sliced black olives~ 1/4 cup you can also do jalapeĂąo peppers for extra spice!
Layer 7: cheese (I used Monterey Jack)~ 1/2 cup
Allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30-45 minutes before serving
Pair with tortilla chips, for serving
