These homemade banana oat bars make the perfect sweet pick-me-up snack to enjoy any time in the day! The spotty bananas and maple syrup add the perfect touch and sweetness, while the oats and almond butter give these that chewy texture.
If you love chocolate like we do, don't skip the cacao powder and chocolate chips!
Chocolate Chewy Banana Oat Bars
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp vanilla
2 spotty bananas, mashed
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/3 cup almond butter
2 scoops collagen (unflavored or chocolate)
3-4 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
Instructions:
Mash the bananas in a bowl and then stir in other ingredients until well-combined.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish lined with parchment paper and spread it into an even layer.
Top with more chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 F for about 15 minutes, or until the sides have firmed up.
Allow to cool to room temperature before slicing and serving.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze!
